Seven BisB Managers completed the ‘Leadership Development’ program organized by Darden School of Business in the USA

bisb_pr_june8_enSeven Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) managers have recently participated in the ‘Leadership Development program’ organized by The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, United States of America, in collaboration with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and the Emirates Institute for Banking and Finance (EIBFS).

Participants from the bank included: Saleh Al Mehri – Senior Manager, Credit Admin, Ali Al Sulaiti - Senior Manager, Corporate and Financial Institutional Department, Ammar Al Sabah - Senior Manager, Corporate and Financial Institutional Department, Afnan Ahmed Saleh - Senior Manager, Human Resources Department, Mohammed Al BinMohammed – Manager, Sales Department, Abdullah Bahzad, Al Thuraya Private Banking and Hamad Al Bassam – Manager, General Services and Properties Department.

Mr. Hassan Amin Jarrar, Chief Executive Officer of BisB, commented on the program, “This initiative is part of our Bank’s internal strategy ‘Ishraq – Back to Basics’ and our on-going commitment to investing in our employees’ talents and skills. Ishraq program was launched in 2016 and its implementation has helped the Bank achieve outstanding results.”

“The University of Virginia is one of the most recognized educational institutions in the field of leadership development in the USA. The ‘Leadership Development’ program focuses on developing leadership skills, improving capabilities and enriching personal traits, which positively impact employee performance.” He added.

The CEO concluded, "Our employees are our key asset. Investing and providing them with the opportunity to grow and develop their skillset is one of our core responsibilities.”

BisB have sent a number of its managers to participate in the ‘Leadership Development’ program over the past years, including a number of the bank’s current executive management staff.
