BisB Platinum Strategic Partner of the 18th World Islamic Banking Conference

Bahrain Islamic Bank (BIsB) has announced its participation in the 18th World Islamic Banking Conference as a platinum strategic partner. The conference due to take place at the Gulf Hotel, Manama, during the period from 21st to 23rd November, 2011, will be held under the theme "Competing for Global Growth".

Commenting on the Bank's sponsorship of this event, BIsB Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed said: "Our participation in the World Islamic Banking Conference as a platinum strategic partner stems from our keen desire to take part in this major event and to provide our support as we used to in previous years."

Mr. Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed added: "This Conference will discuss numerous key topics such as how the financial and banking crisis is related to the other real sectors with emphasis upon the importance of promoting inter-Arab investments in the light of lessons learned from the crisis faced by the banking industry."

He also said the Bank, which will be represented by Dr. Salahuddin Abdul Qader Saeed,

BIsB Credit and Risk Department General Manager , will participate in a discussion session that will focus on a number of significant topics that include how leaders can benefit from the new growth opportunities offered by Islamic banks in the wake of the financial crisis.

It should be noted that in previous years BIsB was an active participant in the deliberations of the World Islamic Banking Conference through its management teams and staff members of its 13 branches throughout the Kingdom with the aim of further enhancing its status in the banking sector and enabling its team members to gain more experience and skills.
