BisB Wins Two Awards at e-Government Forum 2011

Electronic banking services are currently considered as a vital and indispensable elements in providing a high quality retail banking business in the Kingdom due to the facilities and amenities it provides to customers who can easily save their time and efforts, said Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed, Bahrain Islamic Bank’s Chief Executive Officer.

This statement was issued following BIsB’s receiving of two awards at the Bahrain e-Government Forum 2011 presentation held on Sunday under the patronage of His Highness S haikh Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the IT and Telecommunications Supreme Committee at the Gulf Hotel, Manama. The Bank was able to win the Bahrain e-Content Award for the Electronic Banking Services Category and Bahrain E-Commerce and Electronic Business Category. 

Mr. Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed added: “We are pleased with this achievement by winning two Bahrain Electronic Content Award 2011 owing to the excellent online services and facilities provided by the Bank to our customers. 

He further added: “The Bank’s website has been able to provide customers with a complete and bird’s eye view of electronic Islamic banking services, as it has enabled customers to obtain complete information and details about the services offered by the Bank. It has also contributed to reducing the direct and frequent calls to the Call Centre, an immediate result of finding all the details readily available online. In addition, the website makes online banking more convenient and reliable which contributed to being nominated by the jury to compete in the different categories of eContent awards at the e-Government forum.” 

Concluding BIsB Chief Executive Officer said: “Winning these two awards is a cause of pride and motivation to continue working on providing a complete and outstanding e-banking service to our customers and users of our website. They will make us more keen in the future to provide all the facilities required by customers online to ensure the continuation of our distinctive high quality service.
