BisB Wins Best Islamic Bank Award in Bahrain

The Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) hits a new record to be added to its remarkable achievements throughout its leading banking operations in the region by winning the “Best Islamic Bank Award” in the Kingdom of Bahrain for 2014. The award was presented as part of the annual awards offered by the International Finance Magazine (IFM), a prestigious British publication specialized in banking industry news and analysis.

During the award ceremony held at the British capital of London November 2014, BisB was represented by Retail Banking Services General Manager, Mr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed Turki who received the trophy from Lord Mohamed Sheikh Baron of Cornhill, House of Lords, United Kingdom.

BisB’s recognition was made after the bank’s nomination by the IFM Judging Panel as the best Islamic bank in Bahrain. BisB was awarded in recognition of its tangible contributions in the growth of Islamic financing, and its superior services which fulfill the needs and expectations of its clients, in addition to its high performance in offering unique products and ensuring the aspired growth of its assets throughout its operations marked by excellence, high quality and other major business criteria.

Commenting on this occasion, BisB’s Acting Chief Executive, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Hassan said: “We are pleased to receive this prestigious award from the International Finance Magazine (IFM), a highly reputed and well-recognized publication in global banking industry”.

“The award underlines our prestigious status in the Islamic banking sector in Bahrain, and reflects the Bank’s continued excellence in various domains from the distinguished performance and good reputation in the Islamic banking scene to its tangible contributions in enhancing the growth of the Islamic financing in Bahrain, and its unique products in terms of innovation and development”, he added.

“With our consolidated efforts in applying strong policies and achieving our aspired goals of our new strategy, in addition to our good reputation at the market, we shall continue our endeavors aimed at maintaining the Bank’s attained gains and leading status which have largely strengthened our success over a period of 35 years of excellence and distinction in the Islamic banking sector in the Kingdom”, he said.
