BisB Celebrates "On Her Path" Initiative Launch with 13 Mentors
18-February-2025
Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), the leading provider of innovative Islamic financial solutions for simplifying money matters in the Kingdom of Bahrain, officially launched "On Her Path" initiative at a special event organized by the bank. The event, characterized by its authentic traditional atmosphere, was held at “Buzaboon House” in Muharraq Governorate, with the presence of a distinguished group of female leaders and participants in the program, alongside representatives from the Bahrain Investment Professionals Society (CFA Society Bahrain).
The organization of this event marks the official launch of the "On her Path" initiative, which the bank recently inaugurated in conjunction with last year's Bahraini Women's Day. The initiative aims to build the capacities of female professionals working in the Kingdom of Bahrain across various fields, particularly in Islamic banking, by enhancing mentorship and guidance for Bahraini women through the allocation of 13 mentors from BisB to provide professional support and guidance in a variety of specializations and departments.

The event featured discussion and dialogue sessions between the mentors and trainees on various topics related to the initiative. The mentors also shared their career journeys and their eagerness to impart their knowledge and expertise to the trainees during the 10-month training period.
Ms. Fatema AlAlawi, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Islamic Bank, stated: "We are delighted to welcome the trainees participating in the 'On Her Path' initiative and to officially launch this program. This initiative offers valuable opportunities for effective communication and knowledge exchange between mentors and trainees, thereby enhancing the prospects for professional growth and development for Bahraini women. It aligns with Bahrain's vision of fostering an integrated society founded on equality and excellence. We hope the trainees will greatly benefit from the mentors' expertise and insights, which will help hone their skills and prepare them for the job market. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Bahrain Investment Professionals Society (CFA Society Bahrain) for their unwavering support and significant contribution to the success of this initiative."
Ms. Zeeba Askar, President of the Bahrain Investment Professionals Society (CFA Society Bahrain), added: " With the official launch of the initiative, all selected trainees, in collaboration with their mentors, will embark on an intensive training program designed to refine their skills and enhance their knowledge. This program will equip them with the expertise and information necessary to shape their professional futures, preparing them for practical and field experiences in their careers. We extend our best wishes for their success and eagerly anticipate witnessing the positive outcomes of this initiative soon.”
The bank continues its commitment to providing a supportive environment for women through qualitative initiatives that contribute to building a more inclusive and sustainable future for the financial sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
