Bahrain Islamic Bank Succeeds in Conducting Evacuation Fire Drill for the Bank’s Main Building

The General Services Department of Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) has carried out a drill for the evacuation of the Bank’s main building, which took place on 18th April 2016. The fire drill was conducted in co-ordination with the Civil Defense Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior.

In the morning of the drill day, the General Services Department organized an awareness lecture for the members of the Bank’s Emergency Team, which was delivered by representatives of the Civil Defense to ensure that the Bank is following all the necessary procedures for conducting the drill successfully.

The exercise started at 10:10am and according to the assessment of the Civil Defense, the building evacuation exercise was crowned with success, with the main building entirely evacuated within 5 minutes only. This is an excellent result considering that the drill is conducted for the first time in the bank.

Commenting on this occasion, the Bank’s management would like to extend deep thanks to the Civil Defense for its co-operation in conducting the drill, and to General Services and Properties Department of the Bank for overseeing and supervising the drill. It would like also to extend thanks to all members of the Emergency team for their volunteering and actively participating in the successful exercise, as well as to all the Bank’s employees for their full co-operation by following all directives and guidelines issued to them during the exercise.
