Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) Evolves as a Thought Leader in the FinTech Field

Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) was invited recently to moderate a session in the Islamic Finance News Conference in Saudi Arabia. The session discussed the advancement of technology within the financial institutions in Saudi Arabia, highlighting the opportunities and challenges as well as the likely industry shifts and developments in product and delivery channels. Moderating the session was Ms. Maisa Shunnar, BisB’s Head of Business Planning & Transformation. The panel consisted of three leading FinTech companies from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and London. Mr. Hassan Jarrar, the CEO of BisB stated, “ As the first Islamic bank in Bahrain, it is vital that BisB takes a thought leadership role in the Innovation and FinTech field and to become one of the voices for Bahrain’s latest FinTech drive. Our continuous drive for innovation and active participation in this area is crucial to our Back-to-Basics strategy”.
