Our website and application may collect user images for the purpose of provide banking services. Please be aware that any images submitted to our platform may be stored on our servers for future use. When the User uses BisB Mobile, files and docs are needed for (Optional) App functionality. Certain functions allow the user to upload files and docs which are needed as compliance requirements to provide various banking services.
All information sent to the BisB by users is entirely confidential and will only remain between the User and BisB, except in cases where a court order is intended to commit a crime.

DEVICE AND OTHER IDs
When the User uses BisB Mobile, their device ID and other IDs are saved to provide App functionality. It allows binding the login to user’s device to prevent fraud.
All information sent to the BisB by users is entirely confidential and will only remain between the User and BisB, except in cases where a court order is intended to commit a crime.
DATA RETENTION
We are committed to retaining your personal data only for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was originally collected. Even if you decide to close your customer account, we must retain certain personal data to comply with legal and regulatory obligations. Additionally, this retention ensures that we can address any potential claims that may arise. Furthermore, we will retain relevant information to handle any queries you might have.
Rest assured that we will continue to safeguard your personal data securely. Your rights, as outlined in our privacy notice, remain in effect until all your personal data is safely deleted from our systems, following the completion of the regulatory retention period. Our data retention criteria include adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, retention for query resolution, and maintaining records during the period when legal claims may be brought forth.

UPDATE OR DELETE INFORMATION
The User can use the feedback form on the website or software to notify BisB of any updates, changes, or corrections to their previously collected information. In addition, upon user request, we will use our reasonable business efforts to remove user information from our databases; however, it may not be possible to completely delete user data due to support data or deleted records.
Delete e-banking app profile
You can submit a request to delete your e-banking profile and associated data and restrict your bank accounts by sending an email to privacy@bisb.com. If you want to close your bank account instead, then you can do so by visiting a BisB branch.
Manage app data
You can submit a request to delete specific data that we collected through our website or app without deleting your entire account. This data can include things like analytics and marketing information by sending an email to privacy@bisb.com.
MODIFICATIONS TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify or update the Privacy Policy at any time, and the continued use of the Services by the User is a sign of acceptance of these policies.
All content available through any of the BisB services, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, video images, downloadable and copyable items, data, and all content produced by the BisB is part of the BisB property. We allow customers to login to our mobile app through smartphone or device biometrics, as Trusted Devices, which can be either a device registered fingerprint or facial recognition. This feature is available if customers opt-in to enable it and is not enabled by default. Customers can view and delete Trusted Devices registered in their accounts through our E-Banking channels.
For new customers wishing to enroll through our mobile app and self-service devices, we require them to use their device camera’s or the installed cameras to capture photo’s of their national ID to retrieve data and information required to open an account as part of the Know Your Customer (KYC) process mandated by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), through integration with the National Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) platform (Wathiq). To verify the user, we also take photos and videos and match them with the photos in the supplied IDs. Matching is performed automatically. A video recording is taken throughout the document capturing session to support the identification of potential fraud. The bank and its verification partner performs verifications and checks of new applications for quality and security purposes. In cases where mandatory information is not found in Wathiq, customers may be asked to provide their Driving License or/and Passport to retrieve information needed for regulatory purposes. The identity verification process could be triggered for services or transactions requiring advanced authentication or verification of user identity.
Protection of Personal Data
Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) will not rent or sell personal data and information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) discloses personal data only in response to a regulatory, court order or other governmental request, or when Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), third parties or the public at large.
BisB will not disclose any personal data it collects about users to third parties except:
- To the extent that it is required to do so by any applicable law or regulation;
- Where there is a duty to the public to disclose;
- Where BisB interests require disclosure;
