Classic Card

     
BisB provides credit cards that are fully compatible with the principles of Shari’a. Your card can be used worldwide where there is a Visa sign on the windows of shops or retail outlets, hotels, websites and other premises. Cardholders can also make cash withdrawals at more than a million ATMs and financial institutions all over the world. There is no need to wait for your salary when you can use the card and pay for the value of your purchases without payment of any interest.  
   
What are the features?  
Card Features and Services:
  • Shari’a compliant.
  • Minimum amount to be paid by the customer is 5% of the outstanding balance subject to a minimum of BD10/-.
  • 25 days grace period from the statement date to pay that could go up to 55 days.
  • Cash withdrawal transactions up to 50% of the credit limit.
  • No Annual Subscription Fees on the main & supplementary cards.
  • Accepted locally and internationally at more than 24 million establishments and one million ATMs.
  • Customers holding Gulf Air FFP cards will be enrolled and be rewarded with FFP miles as follows:

    Classic – 1 mile for every BD3 spent
    Gold – 1 mile for every BD1 spent
    Platinum - 3 miles for every BD2 spent

Cover Terms:

Flight Delay

  1. All expenses are defined as expenses for meals and lodging which were necessarily incurred and which were not provided by the Common Carrier or any other party free of charge.
  2. Strike, Industrial Action, Inclement Weather, and Equipment Failure that delays any flight are not covered.

Baggage Delay

  1. Written proof of delay from the transport provider must be submitted with any claim and subject to receiving original receipts
  2. The baggage delay must exceed the Excess
  3. Confiscation or requisition by customs or other government authority cannot form the basis of a claim for Loss or expenses.
  4. Claims in respect of essential clothing or requisites purchased as a result of delayed baggage will only be considered if terms have been purchased within 4 days after the actual arrival time at the intended destination.
  5. If baggage appears to be delayed at the destination airport, the insured person must formally notify the relevant carrier airline immediately. Evidence of notification must be provided.

Trip Cancelation

Cases will be accepted if the trip was canceled as a result of the following:

  1. Dying, becoming ill or injured
  2. The death, injury or illness of a relative or a person with whom the insured has booked the travel
  3. If the insured has been called for a jury service or attending the court as a witness
  4. If the police or the insurers of the insured person home needs the insured person to stay after a fire, flood or burglary at the insured home within 48 hours before the date of leaving
  5. The death, injury or sickness of a relative certified as being significantly harmful to life by a Physician in the insured person country of residence.

Trip Interruption

  1. The Insured Person’s death or death of a relative
  2. In case of injury or sickness to the insured person, a physician has recommended that due to the severity of the insured person’s condition it is Medically Necessary that the insured person interrupts the Trip.
  3. In case of injury or sickness of a Relative, the severity or acuteness of their of their condition or the circumstances surrounding that condition is/are such the an ordinary prudent person must interrupt the Trip

What are the requirements?  
All Bahraini and non Bahraini individuals, employed and self-employed can apply. The minimum age for an application is 21 years of age.
The minimum salary for an employed individual is BD300.

Documents required for employed individuals:
  • Latest pay slip and Salary certificate.
  • 2 original valid ID’s.
  • Signed Benefit consent form.
  • Signed application form.
  • Latest 3 month salary account statement.
Documents required for self-employed individuals:
  • Copy of CR.
  • Latest 6 months business account statement.
  • 2 original valid ID’s.
  • Signed a Benefit consent form.
  • Signed an application form.
  • Article & memorandum of association.

BisB’s Credit Card can be issued against pledging of fixed deposit, Tejoori Account or Iqra account, subject to a minimum deposit amount of BD400.
The Credit limit of the Card will represent 80% of the pledged amount.

Documents required for pledging against an account
  • 2 original valid IDs.
  • Signed deposit pledge form.
